2018 Program
Monday-Thursday Evening Concerts - Royal Grove Stage
One-hour evening concerts will be presented on the Royal Grove stage Monday-Thursday, July 9-12, during Waikiki Steel Guitar Week. The performances will start at 6 P.M. each evening. Harry B. Soria, Jr. will host the performances.

Friday and Saturday Festival Ho'olaule'a Pageants - Royal Grove Stage
Friday and Saturday ho'olaule'a pageants begin at 5:30 on July 13 and 14. Each evening features five different Hawaiian steel guitar masters presenting programs featuring Hawaiian music and hula. Harry B. Soria, Jr. will host the pageants.

Next Generation Steel Guitar Players and Musicians
Next Generation steel guiitar students of the Ke Kula Mele Hawaii School of Hawaiian Music will perform for festival attendees' enjoyment.
Vintage Steel Guitar Exhibit and Steel Guitar Demonstration - Helumoa Hale
An exhibit of vintage and contemporary steel guitars will be presented in the Royal Hawaiian Center's Helumola Hale exhibit room. The exhibit will be open Friday and Saturday. Experts will be on hand to answer questions and talk about the steel guitars.
Also in Halumoa Hale will be a steel guitar demonstration table, where festival guests can learn more about the Hawaiian steel guitar and have a hands-on experience under the guidance of a steel guitar specialist.
The Proclamation
Honolulu City and County mayor Kirk Caldwell will issue a proclamation declaring the week of July 9-14, 2018, as Waikiki Steel Guitar Week. See the proclamation here.
The Festival Poster
The Waikiki Steel Guitar Week poster was designed by Addison Ching and features pictures of the master performers superimposed on a silhouette of a 1940 Rickenbacher Bakelite steel guitar. Click on the thumbnail for a larger view.
